Conservative calls out J.D. Vance for 'performance' in responding to Trump Arlington clash

Former Republican operative Tim Miller questioned the authenticity of Sen. J.D. Vance when he attacked a CNN reporter asking about the reported physical altercation at Arlington National Cemetery. Vance pivoted from alleging the story was being blown out of proportion to attacking President Joe Biden's administration for the abrupt withdrawal from Afghanistan. "Vance told MSNBC he was frustrated when he made those comments. We've often talked about message, sticking to a message, and how to deliver a message," MSNBC host Jose Diaz-Balart said. Vance is very uncomfortable in his own skin. It was clear that was a performance to me."He called what Trump did at Arlington National Cemetery "disgraceful." Trump staged a wreath-laying at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier but then went into Section 60, where the most recent soldiers' graves are located. He then took photos and videos that were used in his campaign videos. The U.S. Army is describing the incident as "despicable" and against the rules of the cemetery."The Army put out a statement today, which they never do. It's not up to Donald Trump and the people he's with to decide if he can video. There are a lot of people who have served our country honorably and who lie on those gravestones. Outside of that horrific decision by Trump and Vance, I don't know," Miller continued.
