Taylor Swift Concert Attack in Vienna Planned to Kill Thousands of Fans

The suspects in a foiled plot to attack a Taylor Swift concert in Vienna earlier this month intended to kill “tens of thousands” of fans before the CIA uncovered intelligence that undermined the plot and led to their arrest, the deputy director of the U.S. central intelligence agency said. The CIA alerted Austrian authorities to the plot, which allegedly involved ties to the Islamic State group. The intelligence and subsequent arrests ultimately led to the cancellation of Swift's three sold-out Eras Tour concerts, disappointing Swift's fans who had flown in from all over the world to see her.
