MSNBC's Claire McCaskill predicted that Donald Trump would turn off voters he needed to win over by wandering off-topic in Tuesday night's debate.The former president and current Republican nominee seems to be aware of criticism of his meandering campaign rally speeches, which he has insisted is an intentional tactic he calls the "weave" — but the former Missouri Democratic senator told "Morning Joe" that act won't play well in his debate against Kamala Harris."Listen, it's going to be quite a contrast," McCaskill said. "Just the visual is going to be acute. I have to tell you, it's a little bit like fingernails on a blackboard when we repeat Donald Trump's lie about the weave. There's no weave, there's no weave. Why are we acting like this guy has a plan on when he does all this stuff?""Oh, we're not," host Joe Scarborough interjected. "We're mocking the weave.""But a lot of people are not mocking the weave, they're actually buying into it," McCaskill said. "I'm from a place where people — oh, I'm telling you, people are not mocking the weave. You run into people at the Lake of the Ozarks, they'll tell you he knows exactly what he is doing.
