Charles and Queen Camilla arrived at Crathie Kirk near Balmoral for Sunday morning service in remembrance of Queen Elizabeth II.

Sunday is the second anniversary of Charles’s accession to the throne and the King will attend church near Balmoral.

King Charles and Queen Camilla visited Crathie Kirk on Royal Deeside, where the late Queen was a regular worshipper while in Scotland.

The special programme on the second anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s death will also feature a hymn commissioned by the King.

Two years ago on Sunday, members of the royal family dashed to be with the late Queen as she was placed under medical supervision at Balmoral.

The Braemar Gathering in the Cairngorms National Park kicked off on Saturday.
