ROME – British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Monday praised Italy's efforts to find solutions to the issue of illegal immigration, saying the two countries must share more information, strategies and cooperate to “destroy” human-trafficking gangs. . At a joint press conference, Mr Starmer said his discussions with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni had helped shape Britain's approach to illegal immigration, which is a growing source of anger for Britons who say the numbers of high number of immigrants are worsening the quality of public services. His meeting with Ms Meloni, which followed visits to Berlin, Paris and Dublin as part of efforts to improve relations with the European Union, his team said would improve co-ordination to tackle the immigration issue. “Today we discussed a common challenge and discussed how to face it? (The answer is) through collaboration, data sharing, discovery information and so on.”he said at the press conference.
