Nine European Countries Protest IMF Continues Mission in Russia

Nine European countries protested Friday (13/9) against the International Monetary Fund's (IMF) plan to resume a mission to Russia, arguing that continuing dialogue with a country that has invaded another country would only damage the institution's reputation. After Moscow's massive invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, the IMF suspended its annual consultations with Russia, which it normally holds with all its members.
