Moscow and Kiev exchange drone and missile attacks

Two people were killed in a missile attack on the Ukrainian Black Sea port city of Odesa, local officials said, as Moscow and Kiev exchanged drone and missile strikes. The Ukrainian air force said Sunday it shot down 10 of 14 drones and one of three missiles that Russia fired overnight. Oleh Kiper, Odesa's regional governor, said the people who died on the outskirts of Odesa on Saturday night were a married couple and that another person was wounded in the attack. At least 41 people were injured Sunday afternoon when a Russian aerial bomb hit a high-rise apartment building in Kharkiv, Mayor Ihor Terekhov said, adding that the bomb hit the building's 10th floor and the fire spread to four floors. He said twelve other buildings were also damaged. Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry said it shot down 29 Ukrainian drones overnight Sunday over western and southwestern regions, causing no damage. The ministry also said another Ukrainian drone was shot down on Sunday morning over the western Ryazan region. While Ukraine and Russia regularly conduct nighttime drone raids on each other's territory, Ukrainian officials generally do not confirm or deny attacks inside Russia's borders.
