Israel Targets Southern Lebanon with Massive Airstrikes

Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes targeting the Mahmoudiyeh area in southern Lebanon, Lebanon's state-run National News Agency reported on Sunday (15/9). Israeli jets fired several air-to-ground missiles at the targeted area, causing explosions that echoed throughout the Nabatieh and Iqlim al-Tuffah areas. Earlier on Sunday morning, the Lebanese Public Health Ministry's Emergency Health Operations Center issued a statement announcing that Israeli bombing of the town of Adaisseh left four people injured. Among them, two required hospitalization for further treatment, while two others were treated in the emergency room. The militant group Hezbollah said in a statement on its Telegram app that its fighters carried out 10 attacks targeting Israeli posts along the Lebanon-Israel border on Sunday, in the Galilee and the Golan Heights. More than 500 people have been killed in Lebanon by Israeli attacks since Oct. 8 last year, most of them Hezbollah fighters and other armed groups. More than 100 civilians are also among the dead. In northern Israel, 23 soldiers and 26 civilians were killed in attacks from Lebanon.
