'Completely ridiculous': Amy Klobuchar slams conspiracy theories on Trump shooting

Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) refuted conspiracies from the right and the left political fringes about the shooting of former President Donald Trump.At a Senate hearing on Tuesday, Klobuchar asked acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe to dispel conspiracy theories that suggested that the shooting did not take place, as well as one that the government purposefully allowed the incident to occur."Could you just give me a minute on what went wrong?" Klobuchar said. "And how you think it can be fixed because I think it's just going to help to dispel the conspiracy theories.""There's some people that think it didn't really happen, which, of course, is completely ridiculous." the senator said. "It did. There are some people that think all kinds of conspiracies went on within the government, which is also false, but could you just tell them what went wrong?""I think this was a failure of imagination, a failure to imagine that we actually do live in a very dangerous world where people do actually want to do harm to our protectees," Rowe replied.
