SHS golfers bring home state titles

SHS Lady Warrior Kailyn Woods tees off on the ninth hole on May 12. Rob Wulff Socorro’s golfers brought home two titles from the State Championship at Turtleback Mountain Resort’s Sierra del Rio Golf Course in the City of Elephant Butte on May 11-12. The SHS Lady Warriors team are state champions once again with their first place finish, and on the boys’ side Isaiah “Peanut” Silva is the 2026 individual state champion for Class 1A-3A golf. Lady Warriors “I think as a team, we battled through heat and difficult circumstances to pull out a well deserved win,” SHS golfer Kailyn Woods said.
