Warren residents concerned about appearance of microforest

After Warren Mayor Lori Stone touted the city’s south Warren microforest as one of her administration’s greatest achievements during her annual State of the City address this week, some residents questioned the health of the new greenspace. Several residents posted to social media saying the trees that were planted in the circular area at the intersection of Julius and Hausner avenues all look dead. Some cited the dry conditions the area experienced for the past two months as a reason the trees and plants are struggling. “I’ve had some calls from people on Julius and I did go down there to meet with them, and most of it looked dead to me,” said District 3 Warren Councilwoman Mindy Moore....
