Bemidji State receives national recognition as a bicycle-friendly university

BEMIDJI — For many at Bemidji State University, the biking season is winding down as the temperatures drop. BSU’s Jordan Lutz politely disagrees with them. Lutz, the university's sustainability project manager, is very passionate about bicycles and uses his bike in all four seasons. He’s led initiatives to bring more bikes to Bemidji State and has encouraged more winter biking around campus. Now, the university is getting rewarded for it. On Friday, Lutz and BSU promoted its bronze-level Bicycle Friendly University status to students, recently awarded by the League of American Bicyclists. The...
