'Celebrating her legacy': 512: The Selena Experience comes to Hanover

512: The Selena Experience, a band celebrating the life and legacy of Mexican American pop icon Selena Quintanilla, will bring its bilingual show to The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts on Jan. 24. The production, which has toured the world, is described as a "journey back to 1995" and features favorite hits such as “Amor Prohibido,” “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom,” "Como La Flor" and "El Chico del Apartamento 512," blending Latin pop, cumbia, reggae and R&B. Selena, known as the "Queen of Tejano Music," was a bestselling Latin American artist whose life was tragically cut short when she was murdered by Yolanda Saldívar, the president of her fan club, on March 31, 1995.
