Trump admin hit with damning new poll on Epstein files

Damning new polling revealed Monday that the vast majority of the country believes the federal government is deliberately withholding explosive information about the Jeffrey Epstein case.The CNN/SSRS survey found a whopping two-thirds of Americans believe Washington is intentionally sitting on files that should see the light of day. Just16% believe the government is actually trying to release everything.The Justice Department admitted earlier this month that it has released less than 1% of its Epstein files despite Congress giving officials a Dec. 19 deadline to come clean. Now they're scrambling, bringing in 80 additional attorneys to play catch-up.Satisfaction levels are rock bottom, as just 6% of Americans say they're happy with what's been released. Meanwhile, a 49% plurality are dissatisfied.Nearly 9 in 10 Democrats smell a cover-up, along with 72% of independents. Even 42% of Republicans aren't buying the government's story. Democrats have grown increasingly frustrated, with 71% now expressing dissatisfaction compared to 56% over the summer. Republicans, meanwhile, are moving in the opposite direction, with two-thirds now saying the whole thing doesn't even matter.
