Popular Sarasota shop to close after two decades

A popular Sarasota business open since 2003 has announced it will be shutting its doors. After more than two decades of offering artistic reuse of an eclectic mix of items, Jesse White is closing the Central Avenue site of Sarasota Architectural Salvage. Current plans call for the warehouse, located just north of downtown Sarasota's Rosemary District at 1093 Central Ave., to close for business at the end of April. After that, sale of the 10,000-square-foot warehouse, which is located on roughly a half-acre of land, is scheduled to close on June 1. Until then, Sarasota Architectural Salvage is open for business with items in stock sold at 50% off though negotiations may also occur at the cash...
