Stray cat in Gray Court tests positive for rabies

Columbia, South Carolina The South Carolina Department of Public Health (DPH) has confirmed that a stray cat in Laurens County tested positive for rabies. The stray orange cat found near Geddy and Millrock Church roads in Gray Court, S.C., exposed six people and they have been referred to their health care providers. Two vaccinated dogs were exposed and will be quarantined as required in the South Carolina Rabies Control Act.
