SAN FRANCISCO — A federal judge issued a preliminary injunction on the Trump administration's attempt to revoke federal funding from a coalition of cities and counties by placing anti-DEI and anti-immigration conditions on the money via executive order. The "vague" conditions are likely unconstitutional and exceed statutory authority. The injunction extends a previously granted temporary restraining order against the conditions, and prohibits the government from withholding or canceling funds.
