Lithuania has supplied short-range man-portable air defense systems (MANPADS) with missiles to the Ukrainian army. The Lithuanian Defense Ministry announced the delivery in a post on X, according to Ukrinform. "Lithuania continues to deliver vital support to Ukraine's defense. A new delivery of advanced portable air defense systems with missiles has reached Ukraine, strengthening its ability to counter Russia's brutal aggression," the post reads. According to a press release on the Lithuanian Defense Ministry’s website, quoted by Delfi, Lithuania's key areas of support for Ukraine this year include air defense, ammunition, and drones, while simultaneously advancing Lithuania's own defense industry. Additionally, Lithuania plans to finance the production of Ukrainian-made weapons. Lithuania will also contribute to the Demining Coalition, which it leads alongside Iceland, and will participate in other Capability Coalitions. Furthermore, Lithuania is committed to providing military assistance through international funds and collective initiatives, while continuing to train Ukrainian soldiers and support the rehabilitation of wounded troops. Since the beginning of the war, Lithuania has provided Ukraine with military assistance worth over EUR 767 million. Its total support to Ukraine has exceeded EUR 1.5 billion, reflecting a long-term commitment to Ukraine's defense.
