Russia is not winning on the battlefield, U.S. President Donald Trump’s Special Representative for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, said at a conference in Kyiv, noting that the American leader had asked him this very question ahead of his summit with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. “Is Russia winning? That’s a great question, because President Trump asked me the same thing in the Oval Office about six weeks ago. The very same question. And I firmly answered: ‘Mr. President, don’t just listen to me. Your Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Dan Keane, is waiting outside. He’s standing by the car. Invite him in, ask him about it. He is your chief military adviser,” Kellogg said. He noted that both he and Keane told Trump the same thing — Russia is not winning. He stressed that Russia is, in fact, losing this war. “If Putin were winning, he would be in Kyiv, west of the Dnipro, in Odesa, and he would have changed the government. In reality, Russia is losing this war,” Kellogg said. Kellogg also said he had a discussion in the Oval Office about the so-called “superiority” of Russian troops, Clash Report reported. “They were talking about the ‘superiority’ of Russian troops. I said: ‘We would kick their ass,’” Kellogg noted. According to him, Russian soldiers are not as good as dictator Vladimir Putin claims. “For this, I give credit to the Ukrainian military. I don’t think anyone should be afraid of Russian troops. I don’t believe they have the ability to reach Berlin or anywhere else,” he concluded.
