Most Polish citizens (54%) currently show no interest in passing voluntary military training the government intends to set up for the population. That’s according to a survey run by the Opinia24 center for Rmf.fm, Ukrinform reports. When asked whether they are ready to take advantage of military training, a total of 35% of respondents answered in the affirmative while 54% said they were unwilling to do so. Among male respondents, 41% of those polled would participate, and among female respondents, the share of those willing was 10%. The highest share of citizens willing to take part in military training is seen in the age group 18-29 (40%), and the lowest – in the 60+ group (29%). The greatest readiness to participate in training is shown by citizens with higher education (43%), and the lowest – among those with primary education (27%). The survey was conducted on March 17-21 among 1,000 adult Poles using computer-assisted telephone interviews (CATI). As reported earlier, the Polish government seeks to create conditions that would allow military training for 100,000 volunteers starting 2027.
