Trump Suggests Palestinians Relocate from Gaza to Other Arab Countries

U.S. President Donald Trump has proposed "simply clearing out" Gaza and relocating its Palestinian residents to neighboring Arab states. According to The Guardian, Trump made this statement after a phone call with King Abdullah II of Jordan, suggesting that Gazans' relocation could be "temporary or long-term." "I would prefer to work with some Arab nations and build housing elsewhere where they could live in peace and harmony. You're talking about one and a half million people, and we’ll just clear all of this out and say: ‘You know, it’s over,’” Trump said. Jordan already hosts 2.4 million Palestinian refugees, many of whom arrived after the 1948 creation of Israel. "I told him (King Abdullah): ‘I’d like you to take more, because I look at Gaza right now, and it’s a mess, it’s a real mess.’ I’d like him to take the people," Trump added.
