German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has thanked German business actively supporting Ukraine's recovery as Russia has destroyed its plenty of its infrastructure. He stated this during his speech at a "Day of Industry" conference on June 24. "German entrepreneurs already today play a decisive role in supporting and rebuilding Ukraine and its European future," Scholz pointed out. Scholz mentioned the Ukraine Recovery Conference, held in Berlin, and said that €16 billion worth of agreements had been reached and announced in the field of reconstruction, a large part of which were signed by German companies. The President of the Federation of German Industries (BDI), Siegfried Russwurm, said in his introductory remarks that German business stands in solidarity with Ukraine.
