Labour party takes over UK

The Labour party has won the parliament election in the UK, securing 412 seats. That's according to BBC. Keir Starmer, the Labour leader, will succeed Rishi Sunak as a prime minister. The Conservatives, led by Sunak, managed to gain 121 seats, surpassing Liberal Democrats with 71 seats. Though a new government is to be formed in the coming days, Starmer has already made clear to Western allies that the UK policy on Ukraine will not change. London is determined to further provide military aid to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and participate in defence coalitions. The President of Ukraine congratulated the Labourists on the confident victory and expressed his readiness for prolific cooperation with the new government. "I wish the incoming government every success both in domestic affairs and in solidifying the UK’s leadership on the world stage. I look forward to working closely together on strengthening the Ukraine-UK partnership and restoring international peace and security," Zelenskyy stated on X. He also thanked Rishi Sunak for all the advances in UK-Ukraine cooperation during his tenure.
