Norway is allocating over €48 million for drones and air defense systems for Ukraine.

The Norwegian government has decided to allocate an additional 570 million Norwegian kroner (€48.28 million) to the International Fund for Ukraine (IFU) for the procurement of drones and air defense systems. As reported by "European Pravda," this contribution, made in collaboration with the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Lithuania, will help protect the Ukrainian population and critical infrastructure from Russian attacks. "Ukraine urgently needs more military equipment to defend itself against Russian aggression. Together with other countries, Norway will do everything possible to contribute," commented Norwegian Defense Minister Bjørn Arild Gram. The International Fund for Ukraine is an additional funding mechanism led by the UK Ministry of Defense, which includes Australia, Denmark, Iceland, Lithuania, New Zealand, Norway, and Sweden. Previously, Norway has contributed to the procurement of air defense systems, demining equipment, artillery ammunition, vehicles, engineering machines, cranes, spare parts, and maintenance equipment for Ukrainian platforms and small boats. In July, IFU countries signed an agreement to purchase artillery ammunition for Ukraine worth £300 million. Recently, it was also reported that the Norwegian arms company Nammo would transfer a license to Ukraine for the production of 155 mm artillery shells.
