France will deliver 150 generators to Ukraine during February and provide €71 million in financial support throughout 2026, First Deputy Prime Minister and Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal said on February 4, UATV English reports. According to Ukraine’s Ministry of Energy, Shmyhal held talks with Nicolas Forissier, France’s Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and Investment Attractiveness under the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs. In a post on social media platform X, Shmyhal said the French assistance will help strengthen Ukraine’s energy resilience amid ongoing Russian attacks. He briefed the French side on the consequences of strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, while the two sides discussed bilateral projects and ways to expand cooperation. Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine’s Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte discussed urgent assistance that NATO member states could provide to help restore Ukraine’s energy sector.
