Ukrainian drones struck 77,000 targets in October — Syrskyi

Ukrainian drones destroyed 77,000 enemy targets in October, and both aerial and ground robotic systems are rapidly developing into key elements of modern warfare, saving soldiers’ lives, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine General Oleksandr Syrskyi said on Facebook, UATV English  reports. “The priority expansion of drone units is delivering concrete results — the number of eliminated enemy assets is increasing. In October, our aerial drone systems struck 77,000 enemy targets. FPV drones and heavy bombers demonstrated the best combat performance,”— Syrskyi noted. He said that the Armed Forces are actively increasing the use of ground robotic systems, which have become an integral part of today’s high-tech battlefield. In October, they delivered nearly 300,000 kilograms of supplies to frontline units and carried out medical evacuations, mining operations, and combat tasks. Syrskyi emphasized that the enemy is copying Ukraine’s experience, forming drone regiments and developing interceptor drones, which means the Ukrainian military must constantly innovate to maintain technological superiority. “We are boosting the effectiveness of our electronic warfare systems against enemy UAVs. We are improving both the quality and quantity of stations. In October, twice as many short-range EW systems were delivered to the front compared to September,”— he added. Syrskyi thanked the Drone Systems Forces for every destroyed target and their contribution to strengthening Ukraine’s unmanned capabilities. Earlier, Ukrinform reported that in September, Ukrainian aerial drone systems struck 66,500 Russian targets, an increase of 10.8% compared to August.
