Two Trinidad and Tobago Under-15 teams will kickstart their campaigns when League B of the 2024 Concacaf Girls' Under-15 Championship kicks off in Trinidad on August 5. The fifth edition of the Concacaf Under-15 Championship will span from August 5-11, and will feature a record 33 member nations. Costa Rica will host League A of the three-tier tournament — the highest level of the competition — with TT and Aruba hosting Leagues B and C respectively. League B's matches will be held at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo and the Larry Gomes Stadium in Malabar respectively. A total of 16 teams will feature in four groups, with a TT Under-15 team and a TT High Performance team among those vying for top honours in the week-long tournament. The TT Under-15 team have been placed in Group C alongside Antigua and Barbuda, Curacao and Grenada, with the High Performance team set to face Guatemala, St Kitts and Nevis and the US Virgin Islands (USVI) in Group D. In the third of four games scheduled for the Hasely Crawford Stadium on August 5, the High Performance team will play USVI from 1 pm in their opening game of the tournament. TT's Under-15 team will play Antigua and Barbuda from 3 pm in the final match at the venue on day one. From 9 am, Guatemala and St Kitts and Nevis will get the action started in Group D with a 9 am fixture in Mucurapo, with Grenada and Curacao doing battle at the same venue from 11 am to get Group C under way. After playing three group matches, the top team in each group will advance to the semis which will be played on August 9 at Hasely Crawford. The top teams from Groups D and E will meet in one semi, with the top two teams from Groups C and F meeting in the other semi. The League B final will be played in Mucurapo on August 11. Concacaf general secretary Philippe Moggio is looking forward to the tourney with great anticipation. "We are very excited to host the fifth edition of the Concacaf Girl's Under-15 Championship...this competition plays a big role in developing the region’s most talented young football players as they compete for a continental title,” Moggio said. “We look forward to working closely with the federations of Aruba, Costa Rica and TT to ensure the participating teams and fans have a great experience."
