East PoS youths complete entrepreneurship programme

More than 100 young people from East Port of Spain graduated from the East Port of Spain Development Company Ltd’s (EPOS) youth entrepreneurial programme on August 16. In a release, EPOS said 106 students completed the programme ­– an annual business camp for teenagers, aged 13-17, which is held during the July/August vacation. [caption id="attachment_1104032" align="alignnone" width="631"] EPOS chairman Hillan Morean. - Photo courtesy EPOS [/caption] The release said the programme, facilitated by Lifetime Management Consulting Services Ltd, covers modules including strategic planning, managing finances, marketing and the process of registering a business. At the graduation held at Government Plaza in Port of Spain, on August 16, Minister of Planning and Development Penelope Beckles-Robinson stressed the importance of youth programmes and encouraged the graduates to work hard toward their goals. “A culture of hard work is important,” she said. EPOS chairman Hillan Morean said programmes like this one exist to give young people avenues for development.
