New discovery

Zenarchopterus takaoensis, named after Kaohsiung City’s former name “Takao,” is an estuary garfish recently jointly discovered by academics from Taiwan and the Museum of Nature, Hamburg in Germany. Information on the new find was published in global journal catering to zoological taxonomists, Zootaxa, last year. (CNA)
