Intertwined lights

More than 1,800 hand-painted paper lanterns are ready to welcome visitors to the 2026 Tainan Phoo Tse Lantern Festival set to take place Feb. 12 to March 7 in the southern city. Tainan City Government said more than 1 million visitors from home and abroad have taken part in the annual event since its launch in 2013. (Courtesy of TCG)
