Eurostat: ‘Renewables main source of electricity in 2023’

According to figures from the European statistics agency Eurostat, renewable energy was the most important source of electricity in the European Union in 2023.  The supply of renewables – sun and wind – increased by 4.4% compared to 2022, and the amount of electricity produced by renewables increased by 12.4%.
