Lamborghini’s first EV, likely a production version of the Lanzador concept car, won’t show up in 2028. According to remarks from CEO Stephan Winkelmann, the Italian manufacturer will release its first fully electric model in 2029 at the earliest, citing low market interest in electric sports cars. Although Lamborghini has partly embraced the electrification of its range by launching hybrid successors to the popular Huracán (Temerario) and Aventador (Revuelto) supercars and introducing a plug-in hybrid version of its sporty SUV, the Urus SE, a fully electric model, will have to wait a little longer, as seems to be the trend right now.
