After it was ordered to conduct proper public consultations on additional allowable revenue for Eskom, Nersa has landed on the same figure that the High Court previously dubbed a "thumb-suck."
Nersa has granted Eskom steeper tariff hikes over the next two years after admitting errors in earlier calculations.
There is a further R40 billion owed to Eskom, and Nersa hasn't indicated when the power utility can recover it.
