Beauty abounds at the premiere of A Queen's Runway
There's no question that when it comes to beauty queens, Filipinos are big fans and followers of the pageant system. And yet it's surprising that it's only now that a documentary is being released following the story of the pageant, specifically the one held last year. Over the weekend, the Miss Universe Philippines organization and the creative agency and film studio MOVART premiered the documentary A Queen's Runway, following the queens from the 2024 Miss Universe Philippines competition, where Chelsea Manalo emerged as the winner. The premiere headed over the weekend was a whole day affair, with a press conference, a store opening, and a red carpet attended by some of last year's contestants and even the first-ever Miss Universe Asia, Chelsea Manalo herself.
