Celebrities who are persona non grata in the Philippines

These days, people exercise their rights to express their opinions and ideas, but freedom comes with accountability. In the Philippines, there have been several cases where individuals faced lawsuits or got banned from certain areas because of their public comments. Celebrities, in particular, are not exempt from these repercussions. Some even find themselves declared persona non grata in cities or provinces. To be labeled persona non grata means being formally deemed an "unwelcome person" in a specific place. It serves as a political statement by the governing body of that area. However, it does not necessarily imply that the individual will be detained or arrested upon visiting unless they actively engaged in criminal activity.
