Trade deficit posts largest growth in 2 years–PSA

THE country’s trade deficit continued to widen and posted its largest increase in over two years, according to the latest data released by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). Per the International Merchandise Trade Statistics (IMTS), the country’s trade deficit posted a 43.4-percent growth in September 2024, the highest since the 81.1-percent growth recorded in August 2022.
