Josephides takes over as CSC’s new Director General
Alexandros Josephides, the Deputy Director General and Marine Manager at the Cyprus Shipping Chamber, has been promoted to Director General of the umbrella organisation that represents the vast majority of Cyprus-based shipowners and ship management companies. Established in 1989, the Chamber comprises 200 major shipowning, shipmanagement, chartering and shipping related companies that collectively employ around 9,000 persons ashore and more than 55,000 seafarers on board their vessels. The CSC board unanimously voted to appoint Josephides as the next Director General, having served the Chamber for nearly three decades and represented the Cyprus shipping community at various international organisations and bodies.
