Saif Ali Khan Injured In Attempted Burglary At Bandra Residence

The actor's representatives officially confirmed. " There was an attempted burglary at Mr Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing a surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter We will keep you updated on the situation." The incident happened early Thursday when someone broke into Khan's home. This confirmation follows reports from ANI that the actor was injured during the break-in at his Bandra residence. The Mumbai Police said that, " An unknown person entered Actor Saif Ali Khan’s residence and argued with his maid, late last night. When the actor tried to intervene and pacify the man, he attacked Saif Ali Khan and injured him. Police are investigating the matter," Some reports said the actor was injured by a sharp object, but PTI confirmed he was stabbed with a knife. The incident happened around 2:30 am, after which the man fled. The police are searching for him, and an FIR is being filed. Meanwhile, the Mumbai crime branch has started a separate investigation. Reports say the actor was taken to Lilavati Hospital early Thursday morning around 3:30 am with six injuries. Two of the injuries were described as "deep," and one was near his spine. The actor is having surgery for his injuries, but the full extent of the damage is not yet known.
