‘Bangladesh woman deleted banned app to evade city police’

Mumbai police apprehended Kulsum Shaikh, a Bangladeshi woman living illegally since 2016, during operations targeting illegal immigrants. She deleted the banned IMO app used by such migrants before her arrest. Following political instability in Bangladesh, the drive has intensified, with 42 arrests across Mumbai since January 1, and Bandra police capturing 14 individuals within two weeks.
