Massive Security Arrangements Around Uttar Pradesh Uttar Pradesh government is leaving no stone unturned with the Mahakumbh mela which kicked off on January 13 and will go on till February 26 and may attract up to forty-five crores devotees. For the purpose of Mahakumbh and to maintain law and order nearly 30,000 police personnel from 70 Districts of Uttar Pradesh are being deployed. To monitor the crores of people, the police department have installed 2700 AI-enabled cameras. In previous years, authorities will be actually employing underwater drones, enabling real-time view, particularly on the day when millions will to the ghats for a holy bathe at the Sangam, which is the confluence of the Ganga, the Yamuna and the Saraswati. To facilitate the journey of the pilgrims, the IRCTC has set up a 'tent city', providing shelter for travellers. The IRCTC has also set up makeshift hospitals and medical booths at all major railway stations. IRCTC has also ensured that trained medical staff is present throughout the day to provide first aid and address any medical emergencies. The first special train will start from Himachal Pradesh's Una on January 17.
