Nawaz talks about Anupam's respect for Naseeruddin

Nawazuddin Siddiqui recently expressed profound gratitude for the widespread acceptance and support he receives from the Indian public, regardless of his Muslim identity. In a podcast interview with Shubhankar Mishra, Nawazuddin emphasized that he has not encountered career obstacles due to his background, despite differing opinions within the film industry. He underscored the significance of education within the Muslim community, drawing from his personal achievement as the first in his family to earn a graduate degree. Discussing his roles in portraying political figures like Bal Thackeray, Nawazuddin admitted to a lack of personal interest in politics and cricket. While acknowledging some criticism from the Muslim community for his portrayal, he downplayed its impact. Nawazuddin dismissed claims of discrimination in Bollywood, praising its inclusive environment and citing instances of cross-religious admiration. He concluded by expressing immense joy in being embraced by the Indian populace, whom he described as inherently loving and innocent.
