Strong air cargo demand continues in May: IATA

Air cargo demand rose 15% in May compared to May 2023, said IATA. Total demand, in CTKs, rose by 14.7%; capacity by 6.7%. Willie Walsh cited e-commerce, trade growth. US stricter conditions on China deliveries could impact growth. Purchasing Managers Index for global manufacturing expanded. Regional demand grew, led by Asia-Pacific and European carriers.
