Black man dies in Milwaukee hotel incident: 4 employees charged in case resonates with George Floyd's tragedy

Four Milwaukee hotel employees were charged with felony murder following D’Vontaye Mitchell’s death after they forcibly restrained him for eight to nine minutes. Mitchell, who struggled to breathe, ultimately succumbed to restraint asphyxia. The autopsy revealed drug use and morbid obesity as contributing factors. Arrest warrants have been issued for the employees involved.
