Dutch turn to birds and bees to inspire drone swarm research

Dutch scientists at TU Delft introduced the Swarming Lab, dedicated to researching autonomous miniature drones mimicking insects for various tasks. The lab aims to deploy a self-flying swarm of 100 small drones for missions like gas leak detection and search-and-rescue. Researchers draw inspiration from animal behavior to develop these autonomous systems.
