Former England batter Thorpe killed by train

Graham Thorpe, a former England batsman, died after being struck by a train at Esher railway station. He took his own life on August 4, 2022. His wife, Amanda, revealed Thorpe had been battling mental illness and had previously attempted suicide. Thorpe represented England in 100 Test matches and 82 one-day internationals, scoring over 9,000 runs.
