Following the Paris 2024 Olympics, the brand value of Indian athletes has soared dramatically, with some experiencing an increase of over 300 percent. Neeraj Chopra, the star javelin thrower who clinched a silver medal in Paris, has solidified his position as India's top non-cricketer athlete in terms of brand value. Indeed, after his impressive performance at the 2024 Summer Games, Neeraj Chopra is poised to surpass many leading cricketers in brand worth, with his valuation hitting a new peak of $40 million (approximately ₹330 crore), up from $29.6 million prior to the Paris Olympics. Before securing his second Olympic medal, Chopra's brand value was on par with Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya, but current estimates suggest he may now exceed Pandya’s value. According to Kroll, as cited by the Economic Times, the 26-year-old athlete is also expected to see a significant increase in his endorsement fees, rising to ₹4-4.5 crore from ₹3 crore before the global event. Another athlete experiencing a major boost in brand value is shooter Manu Bhaker, who won two bronze medals at the Paris Games in the 10m air pistol event and the 10m air pistol mixed team event. Reports indicate that Bhaker has recently signed a deal with the soft drink brand Thumbs Up, worth ₹1.5 crore. Prior to her standout performance in Paris, her endorsement fees were around ₹25 lakh per deal annually. The Times of India reports that up to 40 brands are now eager to secure Bhaker as their ambassador. READ MORE - Interim Bangladeshi Administration Withdraws Diplomatic Passports of Sheikh Hasina
