India MSMEs affected because of rising imports from China: GTRI

GTRI's analysis shows increased imports affecting MSMEs in India, particularly in sectors like umbrellas, toys, and fabrics. Between January and June 2024, India faced a $41.9 billion trade deficit with China. The think tank encourages investment in deep manufacturing to reduce reliance on Chinese products and support the survival of domestic small businesses.
