Government nod to 6-month therapy for drug-resistant TB

The health ministry has introduced the BPaLM regimen to treat Multidrug-Resistant Tuberculosis under the National TB Elimination Program. This new approach, featuring Pretomanid, Bedaquiline, and Linezolid, aims to cure MDR-TB in six months with fewer side effects. A nationwide rollout plan includes rigorous training for healthcare professionals.
