Litton Das Calls for Media Engagement Before India Test Matches

The Bangladesh men's cricket team, following their historic series victory against Pakistan, is already preparing for their next challenge: a 2-Test series against India. The triumph over Pakistan marked a significant milestone for the team, but star player Litton Das is eager to shift the conversation away from past successes and towards the upcoming fixtures against India. During a press interaction, Litton requested reporters to refrain from discussing the Pakistan win, emphasizing the importance of focusing on the future. This desire to redirect attention to the India series signifies a notable mental shift not commonly observed in the past. "We performed exceptionally well against Pakistan, but that's behind us now," Litton stated while addressing reporters at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Tuesday. "It's crucial to leave the Pakistan series in the past, and I kindly ask you (the media) to assist in this. It will be more beneficial if we don't dwell too much on the series against Pakistan. We have a significant challenge awaiting us (against India). For me, as a player, that series is history now, but we certainly gained some confidence from it." Litton acknowledged that facing India will be a tough challenge for his team, especially given that Rohit Sharma's squad will be playing on their home turf. "When we play against India at their venue, they usually have the upper hand. I wouldn't label it as extremely daunting or overly simple. They are a formidable team in their conditions. Their ranking speaks for itself, as they are positioned very high. Hence, I believe this series will pose a significant challenge for us," he remarked. "India is an esteemed team, and the ball will also differ," Litton noted. "We're not accustomed to playing with that type of ball. It will be demanding. The players are putting in a lot of effort."
