Under Defence Minister Rajnath Singh's chairmanship, the Defence Acquisition Council has sanctioned 10 capital acquisition proposals worth Rs 1,44,716 crore. These include Future Ready Combat Vehicles for the Indian Army and advanced equipment for the Indian Coast Guard. Notably, almost all investments will be sourced from indigenous manufacturers.
